I want to put together a compilation CD of bass recordings that feature Warwick's best tones. What I need is your ideas of the one most representative song (not necessarily the most popular or the most technical, but the most Warwick tone) from each of the following players, or any other players I might have missed. I figure a CD will hold about 12-15 songs or so.

I'm going to call this CD "The Sounds of Wood." Even better if Warwick could do this officially...

Once a list of multiple choices is compiled, I'll run a poll to narrow it down...

Jeroen Paul Thesseling is exceptionnal, he has a wonderfull fretless sound.

Hansford Rowe plays with Gongzilla and has an amazing sound too !

ill have to say for mudvayne, death blooms, dull boy, IMN, trapped in the wake of a dream, internal primates forever. just a couple options to throw out :)
 
If you're asking for a particular song from Mudvayne, well I'd go with (K)now F(orever) or Severed. But any song on L.D.50 is a representative song in my opinion. 8)

Yes, I'm looking for advice on individual songs. "Severed" is one I was thinking of because I can really hear some aggressive Thumb growl, but I want to make sure I use the one song that most represents a Warwick tone from each artist.

I also like that video of just Ryan jamming on his Thumb!

For Entwistle, for your purposes I'm stumped. He uses a Buzzard on a number of Who live DVD's, Tommy, Quadrophenia etc. But he's using a Status Graphite Buzzard all the time. There might be one song in second set after Tommy where he uses a Warwick Buzzard, but I'm not sure.

Original Music from here, Evolvebass and his group hands down! Latin music, Oscar Stagnarro "Mui Calliente"(spanish spellcheck :oops: ) and "Bring me Down" Puddle of Mudd. Just a few.

I always thought that had a "different" sound from his Streamer. Coll to learn my ears were right and that he used an Alembic!

Yeah, I may have to make a couple of CDs. That would be cool to have an official compilation CD of Warwick forum members cxalled "The Sounds of Wood" as a tribute to the greatest forum and Warwick users! Hmm...

I was not aware of that. I guess that explains the different tone
 
Loads of bands use other instruments to record with,especially Alembics.
 
For Limp Bizkit- Re-arranged -Significant Other

I used to like them when I was little.

alything off Limp Bizkits first album is a good choice to hear his tone. Their first album was actually damned near phenomenal
