In the new year I'll be starting the fretless "twin" to my Fortress 5 RB. It will be a twin in shape only as the following changes will be made:

Body - NZ Kauri
Neck - Australian Jarrah
Fingerboard - either Jarrah or ebony, I haven't decided yet

Needless to say this may be a bit on the heavy side, but it should hopefully sound damned woody In particular the kauri should accentuate the mids even more. I'm hoping this will eliminate the need for any boosting artificially in the mids for harmonics and the like. We'll see how it goes and you guys will be the first to hear it.
