The sound of a Vette. Standard.

So I've come up with an idea to help anyone who has a question about a certain basses sound and how it compares to another. To help with the idea I'm going to setup these polls that have a scale from 1 to 5. 1 being a hi-fi sound and 5 being a traditional sound. I know you can get a hi-fi or traditional sound after a bit of tweaking but for accuracy only judge based on how the bass sounds with a flat EQ and the PUPs in the middle. After a few weeks of the polls being up I'm going to take the info. from the polls and put it in a graph form with pictures and such. This will hopefully end some of those "how does this bass sound compared to this bass" threads.

we should do an entirely different section for those threads which are a great idea since a lot of persons are always wondering about this.

I chose that the Vette got a nice vintage vibe (can get a decent jazz tone) but it got a very different growl than a fender while the highs are much more hi fi to my hears. So, I voted 3

it's hard to say since there's passive and active models, not to mention the different body woods.

my fretless is bubinga, passive, and i'd give it a 4. amazing mwah factor, burpy bridge tone to thumpy neck, it's all good. not hi fi to my ears, but I do have flats on it.
