The sound of a SS1.

So I've come up with an idea to help anyone who has a question about a certain basses sound and how it compares to another. To help with the idea I'm going to setup these polls that have a scale from 1 to 5. 1 being a hi-fi sound and 5 being a traditional sound. I know you can get a hi-fi or traditional sound after a bit of tweaking but for accuracy only judge based on how the bass sounds with a flat EQ and the PUPs in the middle. After a few weeks of the polls being up I'm going to take the info. from the polls and put it in a graph form with pictures and such. This will hopefully end some of those "how does this bass sound compared to this bass" threads.

For this, I voted a 4. Due to the woods used and the PU config, the SSI has a bit more traditional sound, not as much mid presence as in the Thumb. It has a lower bottom, and a more open sound as a result. A bit more "smiley face" EQ!

Very traditional sounding. Phat lows, soft mids, but the highs are the reason I've voted 4. Since the bass is all maple, it is normal that it has present high frequencies making it a little more high fi.

The Streamer Stage I has more traditional tones in the bottom and mids.....but in the upper registers....it has a crazy tone.....velvety and smooth. It's upper registers are hi-fi, while the mids and lows are more traditional.....a great bass! One of my favs in the Warwick line-up.
