Sharp Frets

When were the first Rockbass Produced?. Back in the '80's I tried out a Thumb
Bass and almost had a orgasam, but I couldn't afford one.
 
I'm not one hundred percent sure as to the exact
year, though I would assume recently. (Maybe t3/4
years?)

Though, I'm a bit plagued, by your post. There is
no Thumb bass fyi, and what does it have to do
with sharp frets?

Thumb basses pop up on eBay and other second
hand dealers across the net for relatively affordable
prices. Keeping an eye out isn't too hard, in fact,
one of our regulars recently found a 2002 Thumb
bolt-on for $850 American. A bit of luck can be
involved from time to time, but in the end it always
pays off.

I'm even more plagued by your post Tyler.
There actually IS a Thumb bass,like you've mentioned in the last paragraph of your post.

In reference to you question, my reference to my sharp frets had nothing to do with a Thumb bass, all I said was I tried one years ago, and loved it. The sharp fret reference
was to the Rockbass Corvette Basic 5 String. I recently purchased and loved. I believe Rockbasses are older than that I looked @ the S/N and it was made in 2002.
 
Okay, I see what Greg's talking about...

I thought he was tying the Thumb bass to the
Rockbass line. What I meant to type was:

"...There is no Thumb Rockbass fyi..."

And well, like I said... I have no clue when they
first popped up, but apparently it's about twice
as long ago as I thought.

The main thing that had me clueless, was the post
about the Thumb and Rockbass is titled "Sharp Frets."
 
Tyler, you seem to be the pundant on warwicks. what kind of strings do you suggest?
I play various types of music, but mainly Neo-Soul, Gospel, Blues. I try to incorporate a little of everything no matter what genure I play. Also I play through a Hartke Kickback Amp.
 
I don't know about being the pundit, (Opinions yes, expert no.)
but as my sig says I'm an Elixir fan. I absolutely fell in love with
the coating, the smooth feeling, and when I heard them on my
bass for the first time, the tone as well.

A vast majority of the guys here prefer the Warwick EMP strings,
which are your basic Warwick Black Labels, but with a coating.

Another sect here def. prefer DR Strings. I know we've got
everything from Black Beauty to High Beam users here who
swear by them.

Some others use Dean Markleys, D'Addario, I think some use
the Marcus Miller's and I know at least one person here uses
Jonas' signature strings.

I've played a lot of strings, not every string, but quite a few.
I just think that the Elixir's are perfect for my ear and my fingers
therefor, they're what I use.

Although, I myself have yet to play the Warwick EMP's, a dare
of which I will undertake upon the next string change.

BTW, you do get what you pay for when it comes to strings.
Sure, the Elixir's and the EMP's will run you from $35-$40 (USD)
per four-string set, but they'll also last you longer than a $15
set of "cheapies." Just something to keep in mind.

(The current set on my bass, I've had on since August, and still
have about another five weeks or so left in them.)

Very good looking! I 've not been following the RockBass models development. Is that a medium scale bass?
 
Is that white NT1 a factory finish? because awesomebugers!

It was very cheap and in absolute mint condition, so I could not resist.
