The LX in Church.

Yea the audio was taken directly from the mic's on the camera's themselves. There is definitely a lack of bass in the mix. Next time there is video done I will attempt to record some audio from the board so I can mix it in later.

I think you have a pretty good balance in the mix. I cannot hear the keyboard though. This is a camera mic, so probably it was built to pick up human voice, and that's why it is strong in the mix, and cannot pick low frequencies very well.
And it shows that the sound you made for your bass lacks some mids, and it is a little bit boomy (some notes are louder than others too)
Less lows, more mids will make your bass more audible at the same volume. And it will not sound less low btw

Thanks for the tips Florin. Its touchy on the bass freqs in that room, the room is very boomy in its own right. And the amp I am using is for keyboards, not for bass so its all really hard to dial in a great tone, although the LX sure helps it leaps and bounds! Also, our sound guy isnt a "true" sound guy as he really only sets stuff up to get it going, and kind of leaves it alone for the day, not really making major adjustments as needed and tailoring the sound. Then you add the video camera that isnt meant for bass recording, it all adds to crappy tone, more for looks and overall sharing of the song to others in the church, but its my only outlet at the moment to show off to the fellas here.
Also, the keys are usually really reverbery (too much already) and get lost all the time during services. I can never hear hear unless she plays a straight out piano tone.
Right now my EQ is flat with the mids bumped just a tad, bass flat and highs adjusted to taste of the day, either flat, or a tad bright from my MXR DI, its treble freq is lovely. From there to the amp its usually flat as the mid freqs make the bass sound honky, and really dont sound good at all. I find lately (after the video was made) that playing softer, closer to the bridge and bumping stage volume, adds to my clarity and tone as it naturally brings out some mids playing closer to the bridge.
Next purchase in line is definitely a bass amp. I sold my rig a few years back since Im not playing large gigs anymore, but I feel like I need one to help round out my sound. Still browsing for which to get to really nail my tone.
