Up till now I've had 6 gigs with the LWA1000, running it through cabs ranging from Marshall, Laney, Trace Elliott, Hartke etc. a gig even without a cab, using the LWA1000 just as a D.I.
I like it a whole lot, aside from being very convenient at 2,7kg and 1000 Watts, it gives me constant great sound, clear low end, no harsh high frequencies and a lot of headroom.
I've tried the compressor on it as well, even though I didn't fiddle with it very much, because I dig my Demeter compulator, I must say the built in comp is not that shabby either.

All in all, it's a great little amp, congrats are in order to Warwick to building it, I'll be using it on just about every gig from now on :)

I think I am! I mean I've been accepted a while ago by both the dealer and the guys at Warwick, I even sent photos for the warwick.de artist page, I'm just waiting for them to appear on the site so I can officially jump around the house yelling 'AW YISSS' and maybe frolic around with the dogs in the park :D
Jokes aside, I've been a long time fan, it's a warm and fuzzy feeling to have been accepted :)
 
Great playing and great riff. Love how it shows the differences in sound for both basses.
 
I actually tracked the tune 4 times with each bass, you can see it on the EQ settings, I left all the mistakes in, so it compensates for the non-live feel of the programmed drums :D a.k.a. I was lazy.
I really dig the sound and playability of the $$, it's a real slapmachine, and the piezo pickup system is a real plus, if blended properly with the PUs it makes it zing just the right amount :) And the 2 coiltap switches on the humbuckers just give you endless amounts of versatility.
Having said that, I still prefer the Thumb :P
 
It sounds VERY clean and solid state. Maybe even a bit too much for my taste. Of course this means by using stompboxes and pedals you can make any tone you like using one of these nifty little amps. Good stuff!
 
Clean is what I prefer, I've never been a tube dude, don't know why. Maybe that's why I gravitated towards such an articulated bass like the thumb in the first place, I like the clear, clean sound of it. But who knows, maybe I'll go through a vintage, grimey tone period later on down the road :D I love vintage sounding basses as well, come to think of it, I like all kinds of basses, never met one that couldn't be used for something :)
 
Fantastic playing and great tones. Is that just an original you wrote for this or what? Because it is a great tune.

It's an original tune, but I didn't write it specifically for this video, I had finished it a couple of months ago and I thought it would be great for the demo having fingerstyle/slap/tap in it, so I re-recorded the bassline with the 2 basses + 4 EQ settings :)
 
Awesome. My wife was walking by when I was playing the video (rather loud through my monitors) and she was instantly like "who's that, that's cool!"
