I just started a new social group; The Kitchen.

The Kitchen is a place to come and share your favorite beer or perhaps your favorite food with your bass brother from around the world. The Lord knows that a lot of bass players like to drink, and some of us like to cook as well, or at least eat. So here is a place that we can share these interests with each other.

I know I for one like to learn about different foods from around the world, even if it is Caltabos (Romanian). I don't think I would ever go out of my way to try it, but... if it is put before me, and I was really drunk , I would probably taste it.

So go and head and raid the fridge, the bar or our wine cellar we keep 'em stocked with the finest beers, wines and other libations in the world. Or perhaps your in need of a snack. Feel free to help yourself, the Kitchen is always open.

So c'mon everyone, what's your favorite drink or meal?

I've not had much chance to cook since I moved, the holiday season made my life hell for a few weeks. I like to cook Asian, gonna be limited to utensil use as my place came with a glass topped stove, so the Wok with ring is out of the question, scratch too much, and overheat the ceramic and a chance of cracking it. Not happening on my brand new stove.

Drinkies (said The Moog), beer here. Mostly domestic swill, it's cheap. If I was in Canada still it'd be Holsten Festbock or Keith's Red Amber Ale. Here the killer beer is Wasatch Beer's The Devastator, nice, but damn that stuff makes ya drunk fast.

My fav beer for the moment, is AASS Bayer

Mexican Tecal ìs good for hot days, along with a little lime in it. Tsing Tao was a favourite, but I drank too much of it.

I`ll see what dishes I can come up with later.

Because it's Arctic over here, I've been on a stout/porter/bock beer kick. Current faves are Black Butte Porter and Big Butt Double Bock. Potato soup and a hot sandwich and we're in business.

Im really lovin guinness original stout at the moment.....think im getting old lol
