'87 Streamer with a £700 buy-it-now option:
An '87 Thumb 4: What is the body wood on this - is it bubinga? The back has lovely shading. The neck is said to be ovangkol, but it's surely wenge, isn't it?
Yeah I saw that too, looks like a very good deal if you're in to the vintage. Only thing is, it does appear to have appeared on ebay a few times, so either it aint quite right or it just hasn't found the right buyer yet!
There's a 2000 Fortress flashback 4 in UK for £699 BIN:
Says the neck is bubinga/wenge? Really? A wenge fingerboard seems plausible, but what is the neck - it doesn't look like bubinga or wenge or even ovangkol to me.
Sorry, we do not give the serial numbers out for the purchasers protection and privacy. This also prevents the bad people from stealing real serial numbers to make fake copies
actually there is one in Germany

Florin, I wrote to the seller and got the same response. It doesn't make sense to me. It would make sense if they had written: "we do not give the serial numbers out for the SELLER'S protection and privacy." And besides, I don't get why they are worried that someone will "steal" the serial number. If I wanted to make a counterfeit Warwick with a real serial number on it, I could probably just enter stuff into the serial number lookup on the Warwick website until something worked. Heck, Warwick has an example of a serial number on that same page.
I felt like writing back that, like Michael Jackson, I am bad and I am offended by their insensitive reply. Haha!
