How is this now with taxes / VAT importing from the UK ?? Anyone with recent experience?
If I bought from Switzerland in the past, the seller would post from AT or DE.
sorry, no experience with import from UK.
But I think it is the same like from US.
19%VAT + ~4% musical instruments (for that check at German customs homepage)..

In to/Out of the UK to anywhere in the world is now + taxes, this includes used goods where taxes have already been paid! When we were part of the EU it wasn't the case.
To import into the UK it is + 20% VAT + Import duty (variable depending on value) + courier handling fee... it has likely killed any future used instrument trading between UK and Europe.

I think that was clear for every voter for the Brexit...
Let's hope Scotland will become part of the EU again :)

You would then have to have an 'official' bill + a gentleman agreement between friends and bass brothers on the real price:
25% on 700€ = 875 (+700=1575) vs
25% on 1400 = 1750 (can save 200) ;)
Hope nobody here works at customs :):confused:o_O

One of those early Fortress basses with the deep cuttings in mint condition. Overhauled by Warwick:

Yeah, this one has been discussed (black paddle Streamer). In addition to the pup mod, it's (obviously) aftermarket paint. Regardless of the mod, one way to help determine original paint on a Wick, is where the fretboard meets the body. The paint typically wouldn't go all the way to edge of the board itself. Just the clear coat would go to the edge. There would be a slight curve to the paint in that area as well. If that makes sense. On the modded one, paint goes to top edge of the board...straight across.

Example of a paddle head with original paint. Notice that spot.
