The Heads Up Thread

I have one, was a gift because bridge, pu and pickguard were stolen. I replaced the pu with a Fender JB noiseless. Also the bass now has a massive bridge. I could nowhere find original parts. That´s why I can´t tell you how they sound originally.

But what I can tell that it is a shortscale and the string spacing is ULTRA slim. I use the bass to learn difficult basslines, then switch to a longscale bass.

I don´t know if the machine heads of the offered bass are original, I don´t think so.

These basses are sold in Germany regularily for not more than around about 150,- EUR.
 
what a ♣♣♣♣ing idiot... and prices like at the moon..even more expensive as new at warwick shop...lol

and this vette was a Beauty..very nice grain...
 
I know... there are companies that solely part out production instruments and mark them the ♣♣♣♣ up. Everybody thinks they can reinvent the wheel for a profit. It's really annoying.

Is that because he knows that he wouldn’t get much at all if he sold the bass as a whole? And risking that he could all sell all the parts separately for an overall “good” amount of money??

Like, what if he can only sell the neck?? He is then stuck with half a bass he could never use or sell?

On a side note, I saw this 6 string corvette PS at $1300. No sales so he drops it down over the course of a year to $700. It gets snapped up straight away and the exact same guy puts it up for 1250$ on all the same classifieds as the last with all the usual warwick sales jargon: OMG!!! THIS IS BARGAIN!!! LOOK AT THE PRICE LIST FOR A NEW CORVETTE !! OMG OMG! WHAT A BARGAIN! ….

I know it’s annoying when people try to profiteer like this, but it’s satisfying watching it forever relist  so sucked in to them. They are just preying on the ignorant.
 
Looks like the JAN II has broken tabs and he is still trying to sell if for 40 bucks. :S
 
But guys - these parts are so rare, anyone who wants them will pay lots!

Oh, and "it's his bass and he can do what he wants"

And never "it's my profile and I can say what I want"
