The Heads Up Thread

Following the theme, could this be the world's most expensive Fortress?

It's certainly a good advert for machine translation - just check out the crystal clear English text:
"By bass farmer only wrong sign was apparent attached to captive screw (Fortress)"

Instructions:

1) Buy this item:
2) Find a beat up RockBass with a decent neck, that should cost you peanuts.
3) (optional) Defret the neck.
4) Stick the neck on item.
5) (optional) Sell or give away the RockBass body.

There you have it, a Thumb BO with a C maple neck (less dive) and a pretty solid tone. All this would be a better idea if the starting price for the item was less.

I wish I had the money!!! That would be great! I would be surprised if someone didn't jump on this one. The body and electronics alone are worth far more than that. Plus, the maple neck may add a bit to the sound as well. Just order a RB from Thomann and use it as the donor. Hell, even get a fretless and save yourself the defretting.

This one isn't online, unfortunately, but at the weekend I was in a shop near London and they had a second-hand gold Chrome tone Streamer 5-string for sale. It was a bit pricey, at £1800, but I think they've had it a few years, so would probably be open to negotiations. The shop details are at their "website":

I'm sure we've seen this one before, but if anybody's needing a vintage pink thumb, here's your chance:

There aren't many Taranis's around, but here's a stunning black one, that seems to be brand new:

This Beauty!

45 minutes to go, I bet no one around could/would-want to pay for her, but she really is a Beauty.
