Found this posted on TalkBass:

"The second I picked up a Warwick I knew it was the bass for me. I've always appreciated the solid, sturdiness of German engineering and the Warwicks feel undeniably sturdy. Part of that sturdiness is in the large construction of the neck. It's like driving a 5 series BMW; It's certainly not a small car, but when you kick it into 3rd, the tires are squealing, and you take a hairpin with precision, you know you're behind a well crafted machine. Same thing as kicking out a complicated Jaco riff on a Warwick, life is too short to be playing rump shaking grooves behind a wimpy bass."

Always good to see some Warwick love from Talkbass. Just out of curiosity, how many of you guys are in the 'Official Warwick Club' on Talkbass? Post your number!
 
wow pretty rare we see these kinds of comments about warwick on talkbass. Pretty cool t hear.
 
I love the feel of the Warwicks, including the RockBasses. Solid, feel I can get agressive and not hurt it. The one thing I hate about the Ric is the really thin neck. I know that's the appeal to a lot of players, but I feel like I'll break it if I press onto it too hard.

that's the main reason i havent got a ric (....yet) :D

I love warwicks so much they are the only basses for me :)
 
I always thought that EBMM basses were built like tanks, and that they are... but a Warwick could probably survive a nuclear holocaust! :shock:
 
I'm a TB 'Wick' club member (117) and I try to pick up on misconceptions about Warwicks but it can get monotonic especially the "all warwicks have tree trunk necks"... the amount of times I've tried pointing out that I've known many Warwicks with slim necks, certainly slimmer than many P basses I've tried and one or two that give a Jazz a run for its money.

I should just shut up and let the world think that Warwicks are cr*p, that way it leaves more treasures for us to find!

By the way truly inspirational words from Maddrakkett (WOW) about the BMW and the Warwicks. Wow when i first read it I was speechless. :roll:

I wish that were my own quote, but it was inspirational to me, so I wanted to share. BTW, I'm now Warwick Club member #143 on TB.

You just have to send a PM to Daywalker
