Hi there everyone!
Is there anywhere something like a tension chart for warwick strings (e.g. like circle k or d`addario have on their pages)? I´m in trouble with my B, would like to check the forces of the different gauges and types of Warwick strings.
Right now I`ve got Red Labels .045-.135 strung on my SSII 5er, tuned down one half step. E string is fine, good punch etc, as are A, D and G. But the B somehow won`t fit into this. It lacks fundament, got a ridiculous amount of "steely" mids, so no growl here... and is compared to the rest quite floppy. Setup is good, all strings are equidistant to the pups, overall volume is very balanced. Except for the B.
Any recommendations? I can`t lower the B any further without getting hillarious fret buzz. Maybe a different brand of strings? Somehow I didnt like the Black Labels too much on my $$ 5er, maybe they would be better on the SSII?
Maybe a .45 - .105 set with a .140 B?
