Hey guys,

So I've found a used streamer lx for $650 at a guitar store and I'm thinking about ordering it. I can't go And try it because well the store is about a 20 hour drive from where I live. I've had a thumb but I got rid of it because I thought the neck was a little wide for me and I didn't like the overall tone of it. How would you guys say the lx (with P/J pups) compares sound And feel wise? Thanks for the help appreciated as always: )

Hi Joby,

the thumb is a very special sounding bass. It also has a special way to sit on your body.
Streamer LX stays on your body like a normal bass stays, and it has a more conventional sound than the Thumb. Well, not that conventioanl, because it has that specific Warwick Growl, and it cuts through the mix very welll, but let's say you will be very familiar with it.
 
$650 seems like a steal so unless it is broken you could resell it for what you paid if you don't like it!
 
Make sure to discuss the shape of the bas with the store, truss rod, electronics, and major cracks or damage. That is a very nice price for an LX. You can't go wrong!
 
I called the store and they said it was inplayed condition and it was a German made model lx almost for certain so for $650 I couldn't say no. So now I can say that I got a steal on a streamer lx :D. Needless to say I'm pumped for it to come in and thanks for the input guys. How would you say the neck compares to the BO thumb? Thanks for the guidance again,

Wow... $650 for an LX is crazy!

They're a very nice bass - you'll love it.

It's a 4 string, so it'll be very slim.
