It could be a variation of the “corvette $$ vs Streamer $$“ thread...

Just wandering if someone compared both, and if the Corvette with maple top would be as growly as the Jazzman as they have different shape.

I like also a hollow sound in slap, like the sound of the $$ CORVETTE whith two pu's together. Is there still that hollow sound with a maple top or a strong and hard sound ?

BTW, there is an impressive test of a ash Streamer $$ on this forum and Youtube. Any Streamer $$ fans and soundclips ?

Same pickups/preamp, same woods... the body shape could have some effect, but that's REALLY overthinking it, in my book. It's worth noting that the FNA version is discontinued and could be tough to find new...

Earlier FNA's had a seymour duncan preamp with a push/pull slap contour, later ones had the standard 3band EQ iirc. Please correct me if i'm way off with this.

That's definitely true about the FNA (MM only), but I don't think the FNA JazzMan's (J and MM) had the Seymour Duncan electronics - but I could be wrong also...
