strato truss rod cover and stuff

i need a truss rod cover ..black plastic not the brass one....any ideas where i can get one orwhich might to as a suitable replacement, all the repros seem to be the metal ones...also would like a trem arm not to use but just to finish the look 8: ... i assume i need a bit more than the arm. i need the little nut/cap i assume tightens it up
.i know they sell them on Musikkeller but i bought one for my New Sound and the bar itself was far too thin i had to glue the knob on and the arm wont stay in the tremelo .......Mike

Just made this trem arm for my Strato Super... knob almost the right shape, going to give it another try... we should chat if you are interested in having one made.... same for the truss rod cover... I have a black one to model after. The little knurrled tightener and collet a bit trickier but????...

yes i would...i have seen the little inserts on the same website i bought my trem arm for my New Sound ....let me know how much the cost would be ....Mike

I had not visited Musikkeller site before.... those trem arms look like good reproductions, strange yours didn't fit properly!?! You ought to ask them; via the question box, what diameter rod is on the Strato version... looks like its shouldered down where it goes into the trem unit??. I used 3/16"... fit pretty well into that collet. I only say this because my cost would be similar... made mine mostly because I have more time than money :lol: Searching for a suitable black plastic to make the truss rod cover out of... there is a slight curve in it so has to be heat moldable... bakelite?? maybe some opaque black arcylic?? will let you know soon on this.
