Strap Help

I guess i need a new strap. My strap fell off and my dad said i need a new strap if its that worn out. :-\ im not complaining i guess, but what would you guys recomend? i was using a comfort strap, but it was too long. Getting it today so fast replies are greatly appreciated.
 
Did you try using Warwick Strap locks?
They take a lot longer to wear out than a strap does,
plus you can use the same strap forever with them :D

yeah, but when i use the strap locks, it doesn't fit tight so it buzzes alot.
 
Maybe you just need new new strap locks, your bass is a 2000, if
they havent been replaced lately that would explain why they are loose,
they do wear down after time. Other than that, Dunlop Straps last quite a while, but unfortunately they dont provide the same comfort as a comfort strap.

I actually just switched from Dunlop to Comfort straps..lol, but i always use Warwick strap locks. I dont think i can tell you much else dude :D

new strap and new strap locks.... best combination of all.

Wide strap, preferably leather with some comfort material for the shoulder is good.

I still use the Neotech and ______ Marlin (I think is jack Marlin or something like that they are not padded but they are long and wide so they are the best for me. i think they have them at musiciansfriend
 
My favorite are Levy's leather straps. Something like 3 1/2" would be great for you, it also helps with the weight of the bass.
 
I got a new Comfort Strap recently. My Vampyre still gets heavy after a while, but that strap absorbs a lot of weight. I find it a bit too small, however, so you might want to look for an extra large. The large forces me to play a bit higher up on the torso then I prefer and I can't feed it out any longer.

Its not tip-toe-through-the-tulips or anything though, so I'll still use it. :lol:
