Made an accidental discovery whilst cruising the tube:

I never thought I'd say this but that's not bad....Think I'll go check that album out
 
Back in the day didn't he play a Spector or was it a Warwick?

iirc Kipp was one of WW's ealiest endorsees.
I saw one of his Wicks for sale not too long ago on that Rock Star's Guitars website.
 
Looks like a Spector to me. Check out 0:30. I may be mistaken though.

Wow, some nice parts there. I never knew these guys were still around, I remember them as a second rate hair metal band, their stuff sounds pretty interesting now.
 
Hmm, after second consideration it looks like a PJ set, but it def has a wenge neck. No Yin/Yang inlays as well. Perhaps an early SSI?
 
The bass in the "hair metal" video is a Spector, 99% sure (the logo on the headstock looks like Spector´s, not a W)

The one in the "recording" video looks like an old SSI, a "licenced by Spector" SSI that is. (You could see the neck thru desing and I believe it has p/j pups).
 
The first vid's a WW (vintage Streamer bass with dots), the 2nd vid's a Spector.
 
I liked Winger's music, just always had a problem with the crappy lyrics. That's what cost them any real staying power, IMO. And again the music on this (as he says, "The compositions are the most important thing") sounds great, but "Deal with the Devil"? Really? :d
