Ever get a song stuck in your head, and it just wont leave until you hear it? In my experience, the same applies to that nasty disease known as gear acquisition syndrome, more commonly referred to as GAS. But... 9 times out of 10, that itch doesn't leave me until that item is either; in my hands, in front of me, or a part of my rig.
So here's the ultimate place to help alleviate some of that GAS buildup with your fellow forumites. List it, diss or approve it, let us know what its like when you finally get your paws on it, or just discuss it in general.
As the OP, ill go first. :d
Basses: Spector NS-2, NS-2-JA-R, NS-4H, ReBop4DLX FM... really, any Spector, LOL. I dig the '83 remake, but think a ReBop hot rodded to US spec would be cool too... Seeing as the US stuff is WAYYY out of reach for this poor kid.
EBMM Sterling, just played one at GC the other day, and the love was rekindled. Been thinking about about a natural with maple fb, and a Nordie quad ever since.
Ibanez SR600, SRT800, and SR4000. The 600 looks like it could kill, the SRT is the new neckthrough, which is nice to see after a year of bolt on only SR's. And the 4k just wreaks of awesomeness. Mahogany body, wenge neck, and of course the signature SR slim neck, arch top, and scooped back.
Warwick rockbass Corvette active. I played the passive in gc, and the fit and finish was top notch, would be a perfect backup to my proline. Pro series Corvette.... we all are gasing on this one, admit it!!! Lol.
Rigs: Eden WTB300V, WTX264, 610XST or 410XST with matching XLT in the future. I'm definitely scrapping my ampeg for Eden this year for sure. I'm eager to switch to a tube amp for the warmth, killer tone, and uber cool factor, LOL. The 264 is priced and sized right to make a perfect back up head, should one of the independently biasable Ruby kt-88's on the 300V go plop, and I have no backup.
GK Neo series and new hybrid head. I've never touched the neos, but would like to spend some time with a 4x12 under that new hybrid of theirs, just seems killer.
Whew!!! I actually kind of feel better! Go on, give it a go!!!
