Thanks for bringing this up again. Jorge Campos is one of our oldest endorsers.

It seems he loves Piezo, so he has even a Piezo Nut :)

The MEC NUT - piezo bass pickup is based on the Triumph piezo principle . It´s a very special pickup in the nut. The nut is solid brass nut, with 5 single piezo PU´s,with separately output jack. The bass has two output jack, one for the nut piezo PU,and one for magnetic PU´s with standard MEC active Electronic. The piezo PU signal go directly to output jack ,without volume ,without tone control, and without preamp .It work full passive.

Jorge get very special sound experience with the left side of the string ,and write his unique notation about playing on both sides of the strings.

Now he can amplify ,differently ,the left side of the strings over piezo nut PU ,and the right side of the string over magnetic PU,or he play play both side of strings at the same time.
This is the bass: https://www.warwick.de/modules/cust....php?newsID=2177&modell=Infinity&page=0&cl=EN

Interesting stuff, I knew J. Campos, but this is the first time I hear about the MEC Nut Piezo pup.

Is the Mec nut available to purchase?

Did you know that your fretless broadneck lolphin was originally owned by Simply Red's bassist Shaun Ward in the early nineties or did I forget to mention this Herbz? You own a piece of Warwick fretless history man. It was most probably used during the "Stars" album tour.
