Aeroplane is one of my fav RHCP's songs,thank you for reminding me about it...nice tone from your Streamer,sounds pretty close to mine...how are you setting the on-board preamp in those videos?
 
The preamp is all flat, maybe a little compressor gain and bass on the amp

I especially dig da slapping and da solo you do on Aeroplane... I always wanted to learn that one myself, but was always too lazy (and maybe not good enuff) to figure it out...:d Thanx to your vid I can now precisely see (and hear) how it's done...

Great grumpy bass face too man...:d
 
You play 4-5 on the slap riff on the verse of Aeroplane though, should be 7-1 if you wanna do it right.

Thanks man, You should give it ago, its not that hard =D, I mean i still can't do it every time but I haven't really practised it enough!

Not sure exactly what you mean there but if I re-do this cover at some point I'll look into that =D
 
Every other time you land back on the g on the third fret you play 4-5, where you should be playing 7-1.
 
:confused:mmmmm...now I've tried to play da slap part of "Aeroplane" myself da last couple of days... I therefore checked some web sites and watched some (instructional) vidz on You Boob to figure out da right way to play it... and imho Travis is doing everything da right way in this vid... so could you please explain a little more about what ya mean Sam... ? :lol:
 
I thought it was right as well, but I don't mind if its not I am not going for 100% note for note.
 
I would hear more clip and sounds from you, good job.

After listening the Aeroplane, I think the slapping tone is flat..can't come out like when you use the finger....
