Tough farewell today at the post office as my Vette $$ was shipped to the very north of Sweden and a new owner. :cry: :cry: :cry:

I cleaned it and changed strings yesterday and it really looed like new. :cry: :cry: :cry:

Anyway, I got good $$ for the $$ and now it needs to be spent..... but on what?
 
Vette $$-5 - Sold
GK 210 Combo - For sale
GK 115 cab - For sale
EBS Microbass II - For sale as soon as I have a new amp

... and will be left alone with my Stage 1-5.

Will invest in a MarkBass F1 and probably a Genz Benz 212 NEOX cab as soon as I can afford it.
 
I thought you needed the money for moving back to Sweden...........And hey, weren't you going to buy a 6 string Thumb NT ?? I thought that was the main reason why you wanted to sell your $$.............. I didn't understand the exact reason last time I asked you............. :wink:

Hehe, the Thumb NT-6 deal is not dead yet even if the object has shifted back and forth. A new amp is probably the most important though. I'll probably end up with both...

The company I will work for pays for the move (thank you very much!!!) so the money will be well spent on stuff :D :D
 
So now it's just the maple monster? Man, you're really cleaning house. You'll have to get a new MySpace page with the $$ gone!

That F1 head is insanely small! I played one at GC a couple days ago and I sounds awesome :D

Those Markbass heads put out so much power for how small they are, Mine is powering a 4x10 and a 1x15 full stack now and it's loud enough that I have to stand aways back or I feel as if my nose will start bleeding... literally :P
 
Amps are good things! My list is a good electric upright and a small yet powerfull combo amp... im thinking a phil jones... any reviews?

Damnit .... you're right. Didn't think of that. But thanks for the heads up. Even my myspace address is misleading now... and that can't be changed. :cry:

I'm a looser when it comes to myspace codes. The picture of the $$er is not even my own. It's a CS $$er sold by a dealer in Russia if I remember correctly. Just look at the PU spacing :D. I just stole it from the CS gallery and changed the contrast a bit.

Well, it's not the end of the world and those changes are at the bottom of my ToDo list. /Cheers

Yepp, they are small and that's exactly what I'm looking for. I also tried the one you have, the Little Mark II and to be honest I heard no difference. The price difference is for sure bigger than the difference in sound. I'm still wrestling with the though of paying ~300 Euro to get rid of 1 inch in height.

I also tried the F1 with a MarkBass 410 @ 8 ohm but I was not convinced. The 4 ohm Genz 212 was louder and more versatile IMO.

I'm looking into one of these, I really need a new amp. I'd rather have their D400 head but it's not available yet...
Or you could check out one of these:
 
Yeah, im looking at both of those as well... imworried the phil jones might not be loud enough... but it makes the upright sound so good!

Played it when I tried the amp I mentioned above. Such a great bass ....

The exact same worry I have! The Acoustic Image is quite a fair bit more powerful, but the Phil Jones just rock! Strangelly enough I found the D-400 for sale on a Japanese website for a decent price, then all you need is a Neo cabinet and Bob's your uncle!

I freakin' love that bass! It's the first Warwick that has tamed my GAS because I can't beat it. Although I'm looking to trade the BO $$ for an alternative bass...

Definitly! Still, the acoustic images price is much more apealing...

I'd love to see the Vette $$ BO or NT 5-stringers with broad spacing as I'm getting used to the 20mm bridge. It's easier for slapping in my case.

Oh well... there's sooo much out there and you can't have it all... But I'm spontaneous... Who knows what it will be...
