So what GAS have you turned into matter lately?

Dunno if there's a thread like this already but I wonder what our fellow bassplayers get the GAS for and actualy acquire.

I'll kick off stating I just ordered a pair of Adam A3X nearfield monitors for recording/mixing stuff. I'll be using them with an ESI Juli@ 24/192 audiocard. My main monitors are a pair of TDL Studio3 transmissionlines which have a (-3db) range from 28hz up.

Happy camper mode active.

So what stuff have you guys managed to lay hands on lately besides bass gear?

In fact I don't even know where the hell my money has gone, but my bank account is showing decreasing numbers for quite a while now.

But I have to admit, I may be just buying a gastritis by heavy party activities...
 
Finally upgraded my Rickenbacker with Bartolini pickups and 3 band preamp, also added a hipshot bridge to it.
 
Got a pair of Beats by Dr. Dre. I wasn't initially going to get them because I thought they were all hype. Then I listened to some stuff with them. Holy crap, they're nice. The bass is upped a little, but that's a good thing, right?

Got a couple custom sets of strings to try out from GHS. I was thinking about it for a while, and after chatting with the artist rep a month ago, I started up a conversation about what I was looking for, what I liked/disliked, and went from there. They've been on for a week and thus far are holding up really nicely.
 
I finally bought a Bergantino NV610 last week.I'm still not sure i see all the hype.....
 
Cool stuff. I remember trying GHS strings and finding them too rough on the fingers back then so I returned to rotosounds. I don't remember which type of GHS they were though...

Got any pics of that 610 d0se?
 
Nothing made into matter. Have had no moneys for it.
 
A Moto Droid 2 Global about a week ago and My Thumb BO back in september. That's about it really.

It's a Parker Dragonfly DF724, has Piezo + Seymour Duncans. Maple top, alder body, maple neck + ebony fingerboard.

Thanks, had been looking at a Framus Diablo 7-string (mahogony / tobacco finish) but the piezo's really appealed just from a flexibility standpoint and this gets great reviews elsewhere. It's kinda mid-priced for a Parker.

My guess is that they were Bass Boomers; that seems to be the only brand many people know from GHS and that places carry. I find it ironic that you went back to Rotos; I always found them very rough on the fingers.

The ones I'm using are the Super Steel Contact Cores. The bottom four strings (of a six) have the core exposed to allow for better string vibration, yadda yadda... I can tell you this. This is the first B string that I've played that makes the body of my Streamer LX resonate. Amplified, these strings are a nice combination of that low fundamental tone with piano-like clarity. I'm in a theatre pit right now and am on the opposite end from the drummer, and he says he can hear my clearly through an 11 piece group.

These aren't super smooth, but they're definitely easier on the fingers than others.
 
i'm GASing all the time even thou i don't need anything at the moment i keep searching the classifieds for anything interesting.
 
I´ve bought an Ashdown MAG 4x10" cab to add to my Ashdown 2x10 MAG combo. Just waiting the call from the store to pick it up. Also, bought some green Aurora strings for my Infinity (you may see the results in the Warwick at stage forum. 8:

Just put the money down on a Hartke HA3500 with 4x10 and 1x15 cabs. The Trace, despite its 'groove-gasmic' tone and amazing clarity, is just too much. I never thought too much headroom would be a problem... Or even a term I'd ever use.
