So, I`m selling my stack

Well, I`ve finally made the desicion to sell my old Peavey 2x10" + 1x18", as I found out that my new amp, an Ashdown MAG600, didn`t dial in very well. All my basses sounding similar, the Vampyre actually sounding the worst of those.

Now what i need is ideas. I saw the price on the ProFet 5.1 all of a sudden dropped, so maybe I`ll just sell the Ashdown too. I got it cheaper than retail, so I can sell it with profit, enough to afford the ProFet.

Does the ProFet come in rackmount-version?'
...yes it does, I saw now.

Well, to my first point....

I DO need a new cabinet, and although I drool over 8x10`s, I`m not sure if I want to split it up in 6x10, and then add a 1x15" later. What do you think? What would the Ashdown and/or the ProFet work well with?

Hartke has a decent priced 8x10, but I`ve heard different things about quality there. I`ve also had good performances mostly with Ampeg, but the price is sky-high here in Norway. SWR`s and Trace Elliot are "no thanks" to me, btw.

All ideas are welcomed, as I haven`t owned any other than the Peavey-cab. What I look for? A good, crispy, maybe even sterile low-end sound.

I`ve only, without exceptions, had bad experiences with those brands. Both with new and old models. They just don`t give me the sound I want.

I auditioned my Thumb BO through a new Trace Elliot and was hugely impressed... never really liked my Mark Bass stuff since... use my trusty old Ashdown combo now!

It's all a matter of taste I suppose
