Since Warwick's Inception, how basses has been built?

I was wondering if there's a data base out there which will indicate how many basses has been built to this point. It would be nice to also know of how many of each model and a break down of each year. In addition, the quantity between the old factory and the current factory. I maybe asking for too much, but it's something interesting to know and discuss here on this forum.
 
I seriously doubt this data exist. People seem to get conflicting information from W all the time. I think well intending, yet memory fails us almost always as far as actual accuracy. It seems early on record keeping and numbering (serial numbers) weren't a priority and not well thought out. No disrespect intended, just being honest...IMHO.

That equates to about 480 basses per year since 1985. I'm curious on which model has been produced the most. I'm thinking it would be the Thumb 4 NT.

Er, actually it equates to 4,800 basses per year since 1985! But obviously they are making more now than they were then. HPW gave some exact figures in the Guitarist interview I read recently. I'll check the figures when I get home, but I think it's something like 14,000 per year, with about 3,000 from Germany and 11,000 from the far East.

As for which model, Greg's probably right (he usually is!) but I would guess that the Corvette must be nearly as popular, because of the pricing. In fact, if you include RBs then I'm sure the Corvette will have been the best-seller.
 
True, but when did the Corvette come on the market?
I'm trying to reckon for the fact that the years Warwick had the Streamer but not the Corvette, they weren't making 14,000 basses a year.
 
I have 11 Streamers and no corvette it has to be the streamer:-))

After reading this article my opinion of Warwick has become even better, i am really impressed by the company, it's philisophy, it's standards and the way it is managed by Hans Peter Wilfer! although these times are hard for the music business please keen on going like this! I am really glad to have found warwick and i am very proud on my basses after reading this.
 
What I can tell is that we prepare a great surprise for everybody in 2012. Factory tours, open doors, workshops...
 
It's not a surprise anymore then.... Hehe.
 
By 2012 we'll have forgotten that Flo told us, so it will be a surprise! :lol:
 
Haha, true. One thing is sure, Warwick knows how to make an event. I've been there for the 25th and it was incredible!
 
What has become of the old Warwick factory? I'd love to see some pics of the old and also the new factory for comparison. Any chance of vintage re-issues ala Fender. Those scalloped headstock would be great to see on these re-isssues. Oh how I wish this would become true..
