I'm looking at buying a 1997 Warwick Streamer LX 4 string bass for $650 US. Seems to be in great condition. Serial number is E-038191 97.

I've never owned a Warwick and would like to hear from all of you Warwick fans whether you think this is a good deal.

Thanks!

Assuming it really is in "great condition", that's an absolute steal on a killer bass. As a '97, it should have an all-wenge neck also...

Oh man.The Streamer LX is an amazing bass.Imo,the pick of the bolt on,all wenge necked models. This one's an absolute bargain if it's indeed in as good a condition as described.

Buy!
Welcome to the forum, man :-) Post pics after you buy it!

i think it should have a jan1 too, thats a good price as long as theres nothing wrong with the bass great score.

YES!

Ofc if like everyone is saying it does indeed live up to its description!

Thanks all for the feedback. It must have been a steal becasue someone beat me to it! HOWEVER, I did not give up and found a 90's Corvette Standard Active 4 string in mint condition for a similar price (700 US). I look at this deal as a reasonable one. Thoughts, anyone?

$700 is a good deal for a 5-string. For a 4-string, I would try to talk them down a little.

If it has the wenge neck and fretboard, the frets are in good shape, and there are no major blemishes on the wood, it's a reasonable asking price. You might be able to talk the seller down a little. Maybe try offering $600 and see if they'll move to $650?

Here's one similar to what you are describing that recently sold for $699 on ebay.
