Yes Locktite,stay away from nail polish,glue or anything else that dries hard.Locktite is designed to be removed easily where nail polish dries hard & needs quite a bit of torque to loosen the scew risking a nasty gouge in your fingerboard or headstock.

I'm not a fan of any type of finish on my bass And as hard as it is to believe I havn't oiled or sanded my bass in about a month now

And i checked the truss rod yesterday but that still is on so i dont think its that. I will make sure my truss rod isnt broken though, i didnt know that about the rubber sleeve it sits in. and ill check all the bridge screws and springs too, i could swear its coming from the neck though but i know what you mean about sounds coming from places it doesnt like its coming from.

Sorry guys, wasnt able to get to my computer this weekend, i was really busy...although i see you guys had quite the conversation without me, haha.

anywho, i tried checking somemore things and nothing seems to fix it. it still doesnt seem to affect anything except the acoustic sound of my bass though. truss rod doesnt have any problems (not broken thankfully) and everything seems to be perfectly in order so the problem is still a mystery. I think ive decided just to leave it alone though, maybe itll fix itself with some new strings or someting down the line but im not gonna worry about it, ill just turn up my amp to drown out the sound, ha...and playing a Thumb loud is never a bad thing .

so thanks for all the suggestions guys, its more appreciated than i can express.

Had this same problem on my Streamer LX5. Easy fix.

The string saddles have very small allen screws on the face of the saddles (pick-up side). If you've ever raised or lowered the saddles using the allen screws on top without loosening and then tightening the screws on the side of the saddles, they will loosen over time and buzz slightly. Use your smallest allen tool to tighten them and the buzzing should go away. I looked forever and figured this out during a string change when my B string saddle felt overly loose. Turns out my B and A string saddles were very loose - tightened them all and no mre buzz.

so far, the best thing you can do is to check and tighten each and every screw, including the trusrod cover's............maybe check the electronics cavity as well..................what more can you do ??

I just dont find Fieldy's "style" anything worth mentioning. I liked older stuff from Korn, but his sound just was just unsatisfying IMHO. Tie sound of clacking from very low tensioned strings isnt innovative the way many other modern bass players are. If he wants to be a percussionist, then pick up some congos or drums! 8)

I agree. never liked Fieldy's style, he's way overrated in my opinion. No disrespect to Korn though, they are good and really helped start that category of music, overrated as well i think, but did do something new.

and yes, i will be sure to triple check everything on my Thumb and tighten up where needed.
