Serillian website done up

looking good mate :)
the only thing that i don't really like (only a small thing) is the little line that runs down next to the navigation buttons - it sometimes cuts through some of things you are reading.

Ok, I'll put on my webdesigner hat, here, for a few lines...

It's a little too big. It seems to be made for a 1280x1024 screen resolution, that a lot of people don't use yet. The rule of thumb until recently was to use a 800x600 screen resolution-friendly layout, but going to 1024x768 is now an acceptable step. You wouldn't need to take out any information, juste scale down everything, since it's all too big...

I realise it's a site done for a small band, and I know you did it yourself with the best of intentions (and I do realise that I sound like a F**cking pric* for saying this...), but it looks like it belongs to 10 years ago... (I know that's harsh, but I've got to say it...)

I'm really sorry, I know how it feels to do a website and be proud of what you've done, and I certainly hate it when one of my designs is taken down in flames by a critic, but it wouldn't be fair to just say "looking great, I love it!"

The content is as should be, with intro of the band members, gig dates, pictures, etc, so you've got the proper material there to make a great website, just tweak the design a bit and you should be in grat shape!

(sorry again...)

No problem there dude. I've posted on one of my local forums and got the same kind of response, plus offers to do the site for me. I used a serif program to do most of the stuff.

As a web designer, I have to agree with Patrick here. It does look fairly outdated.

I think the color-selection could have been better for both the buttons and the text (blue on grey, blue on black not being the most readable).

A good effort though mate to have put it together!
