Hey guys,

So earlier this year I did some extensive writing and recording with a guitarist I've worked with for years, but I left the band because of my crazy busy Summer (long story). They had been working with another bassist to do shows (another Warwick player, by the way), but now that I'm not so busy I'm back into the fold. If you're bored, check it out:

Good stuff mate.I really enjoyed those tracks. 8)

Thanks, Greg. I appreciate it!

(from PM) Yes, the intro to "Asylum" is bass...

Thanks, Jay!

I wish I could have recorded those with the $$ NT...

*sigh*

Why do people keep posting stuff that makes me feel like an utter idiot ?? Totally my kind of music..............but there is no such thing as "my kind of music".......only individual bands.........hmmm.........The vocalist is pure genious. What a voice. Really, he's got a voice quality comparable to that of the best vocalists I know including MJK.
Oh yeah, the bass...............I think I've heard other soundclips of the Corvette $$ BO (at least I think this is the bass you used), and I have a hard time recognising it as a Warwick bass to be honest ( ), but the playing is fabulous. There is so much space for you to fill, but you're not opportunistic by doing crazy stuff: it's all very controlled. I would say typically Justin Chancellor style in that sense. All playing for the sake of the music. However, I think your playing is a bit more melodic and vivid than that of Justin Chancellor. Compliments and only compliments man.
Oh, maybe soundwise I would prefer a fatter more midrangy bass sound for the track "gravity". I wouldn't even say Thumb. Maybe a Streamer LX-ish sound ?? Hey, I'm very very bitchy when it comes to the sound of the bass: really, it's absolutely no criticism.
Anyway, keep on rocking you talented man. Cheers.

Wow, I hardly know what to say. Thank you for the kind words.

And I absolutely agree. The recordings are not a good example of the Warwick tone (or even good tone for that matter). The vocals, guitar and bass were all just recorded with a Boss BR8 unit - so everything gets squashed with digital compression, etc. I promise some good quality studio recordings in the near future.

Thanks again, my friend.
