Hello everyone ! I wanted to ask what you think about the ROCKBASS VAMPYRE BK because I´m thinking of buying this bass. Does anyone here play one ?

I actually really like the look of the bass, my only problem is..... why put silver hardware on it? would have looked so much better with black.

Yeah thats right... but actually it could be worse... think of the hardware would be pink ^^
I my eyes it doesn´t look that bad ...
( but I also would have prefered black or
red hardware )

You could easily order a black hardware set and swap it out.

and how much would that cost? it's actually what I was thinking of doing with my former corvette rockbass, but I never found the rockbass bridges in the spare parts shops on the web...

i'd like to know too as i was thinking of pimping one of my basses with gold hardware...

I looked on for original Warwick hardware. A bridge ( ) costs about 40 to 50 €. The mechaniks cost 38 € ( gold version -> )

yup, but thomann, as I recall, only has the 2 piece Warwiick bridge, which requires routing a cavity in the body, rather than the one-piece one used in rockbasses (which, incidently was used on "Real" Warwicks in the past...)

PJ

Is it possible to put a 2 piece warwick bridge onto a vampyre rockbass ?

it is possible, in theory, but you need to dig a hole in the body to fit it in... so best done by a luthier...

PJ

it looks like you could put a badass2 bridge on there... that should increase the sustain quite a bit more than the warwick bridge if im not mistaken. plus theyre cool :)

Hi all, glad to be back :D
I have a problem and I thought that you could probaly help me.
I want to know the measures of the Rockbass Vampyre ( or those of the original Vampyre, I think there ´s no big difference... :?: ), especially those of it´s body in the lengthwise and breathwise expansion.
THX mates !!

This is a picture of a 4-string but the measurements where taken on a 5 string and are in millimeter.
I don't know if there is a differents in the body of the vampyre (4 or 5 string)

Thank you very much !!! It helped me a lot !!!
This is why I love this forum: The people are helping each other and not only calling other people names like in other forums I (was ) in.
Once more thank you !!!

PS: My Cascet case ( ) was delivered yesterday !! Time to take it to the band rehearsal today... :D

PPS: Hey Demolition, MORTIFER sounds great !!! Congratulation !

The Vampyre in the coffin
Thats exactly the thing I want :D
My only problem is the fact that I put a lot of work into the bass I play now. I don´t want to loose the paintings when buying and playing a new Rockbass Vampyre... :( but it´s very difficult to paint on a bass without a pickguard...

If you can't paint it,use decals.
There are a lot of different colors you can choose from.

Put your drawing on the back (reversed) then cut it out and put it on the bass.

Hm... I don´t like decals that much, because you can see the border... and it is difficult because of the pickups... I made the tribal by painting it on a foil, cutting it out and glueing it on the pickguard. Then I used a black spray, removed the foil and took clear varnish to protect the colour. I could make that on the Vampyre, too if I would protect the pickups from beeing coloured ... well I will see when I get the bass.
