I'll do the honours if that's cool Wolfie.
The Lycan features a Rockbass Streamer neck(hence no W) fitted to a custom built body with the standard pickups & eq.

so..is this new for 2008? its nice! :)

I think you should do one better and go with a two piece bridge...

Besides that.... veeery nice :)

so where did you pick that up?

Custom shop?

just curious, I'm a little envious

It was built by a local luthier, using the neck, pups and hardware from a Rockbass Streamer.

Looking at getting another one built later in the year, this one will probably have a flame maple top.

it looks like a spector Rex Brown Signature

yeah. the Rex bass is based on Nikki Sixx's Spector... which was the inspiration for the lycan. You cant get much more ROCK N ROLL than SIXX

Ok, so it's pure coincidence that Rex Brown plays the Rex bass................which is not named after him, but designed for Sixx..........Been wondering about this for a while now.

not sure about the ins and outs of the rex bass, but here is a pic of nikki with his spector (Dr Feelgood era Crue)

i'm guessing the REX bass was based on this design.

Well....nice custom job

I'll admit it, I'm a little jealous.

Thanks!

Just gotta wait for Warwick to put it into production ;)

I had been following your posts for a while now Wolfman. I am proud of the product you ended up with. congrats.

Looking good that Lycan. Good opponent to the Vampyre. Maybe an upgrade in the future would be to get the JAN of a Vampyre and replace it to yours and make if like tha vampyre's tunning so the Lycan can go also as low as the Vamp.

do you mean as low a vampyre darklord? a 5 string vampyre is standard 5-string tuning (BEADG) and i'm assuming tha lycan is too...

Yes as the Vampyre Darklord

My basses are usually tuned ACGCF when playing with Laconia.
