Rock bass Electronics question

Hey guys, Just a simple question.
I've just bought a Corvette Basic. I want to replace the electronics for something better. At first I thought of MEC but the direct replacement is too expensive. Now I'm between Aguilar or Bartolini.
Do you guys have any experience with those? Which one would sound more like MEC?

I've fitted EMG BTC or BTS circuits. They're great sounding, quality products that are WAY cheaper than MEC and very easy to fit. perfect for Rockbass
