I'm looking at buying this bass through a popular buy / sell website in NZ
https://www.trademe.co.nz/a.asp?id=614679857&cc=61&pid=275224479&hbc=24&ct=link
I might be able to get it at a good price, as it comes with a hard case, tuner, strap...

Question - the 4 knobs are they volume / tone / bass / treble?
The seller says it is active, so I will have to take their word for that (no photos of the back) and they say the neck is straight and the electrics are all fine - anything else I should know / ask before parting with my hard earned cash?

thanks in advance!

Haha thanks - I missed out on the bass because I ended up in a bidding war with 1 other buyer.... it sold for (NZ$) $225 which was still a good price.
If I had bought the bass I would have kept the case - what else would I have stored the bass in??

might perservere with my Ibanez bass a little longer... good news is my band has gigs the next 10 weekends so I should be able to save up a bit and get a half decent bass (looking at $500 NZ or there abouts)

Ha ha yeah was worth a try, I almost bid on it just so I could have a thrash and then on sell but id keep the case. I have plenty of Warwick deluxe gig bags I would have sold it on with. A covers band doing 10 weekends in a row!! don't you guys earn big coin doing that sort of thing??? not like us poor death metlers having to pay to play at kings arms just so 30 people can hear us and then cost to get there and no free beer .. aarrggh!!!! ha ha NO FREE BEER!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!! ha ha

No free beer is not a gig. thats doing charity work!

yeah... my wife said to me "Why do you need a new bass"?.... just because darling.... just because!!
I'm looking at an Ibanez BTB 300 at the moment.... haven't run it past the wife yet though... :D

Covers bands don't earn a huge amount (still have to do the day job!) but after petrol, expenses...etc... there's a little left there to take the wife out to dinner - or to save up for another bass...
I'm looking for an Ashdown 4x10 to go with my ABM EVO 900 III, but I better not say that out loud on the Warwick Forum LOL!

and unless we're doing a wedding or function we have to buy our own beers too!

If you are having trouble explaining the new bass thing to the missus you can explain it with this simple formula:

ni=nc+1

where:
n
i is the ideal number of basses to have
nc is the current number of basses you have

This is true!

It's an undeniable truth, and to mess with it is to threaten the very fabric of the cosmos.
