After a detailed listening at home with headphones, can´t help but notice that Lars has completly lost his "groove", I mean, his playing is very sloppy this days. Check out Anthrax songs from the same concert and compare with Benante´s timing.

I've seen them a couple of years before in Bucharest. I expected to hear a much tighter band, but in the end I was happy to hear them live anyway

Lars to me has always been a not so solid drummer. When I was recording in LA our engineer had worked with them on an older album and he mentioned how much they had to edit the drums to get them to sound tight. Ever since then I can't help but notice how sloppy he can be.

And forgot to say that I agree with Rob: that Streamer is beautiful.


I was thinking about ´tallica and this "what if" thought came to my mind: If Jason Newstead were still playing in Metallica, do you think he will eventually get into Warwick?

He is known for his HUGE collection of basses, and he used many diferent axes, including some Alembics and Spectors, until he "discovered" Sadowsky.

Metallica is my fav band... Saw them live 8 times, even met them... Sure, Lars can be a weakness for the band sometimes (with Kirk too...) but his style "is" Metallica. Without Lars the band would have been so different...

Don't get me wrong... I judge a band for the vibe they give, and songs, etc... I am not looking for a perfect sounding band, I like sloppiness, really

Just Metallica had this solid sound on records, and I expected to hear that on stage, so I was a little bit confused. Next time I will know what to expect, and I will enjoy the gig more.
