My old drummer from years past called. he's wanting to hit the studio and asked me to play for them. so this saturday is my last live gig for a while. I will miss everything about playing live except the moving the equipment part, LOL
I have wanted to do some bass writing for a long time but current band is not up for it at all.
new project came with a cd of complete songs finish except for bass. they gave it to me and said knock yourself out. I about crapped my pants,LOL
 
Wow, amazing opportunity. Nothing will be arranged around your basslines though, but still very cool.
 
Enjoy yourself while you can! No worries, maybe you`ll get the spirit later.

For one second I thought you want to retire for good. Sounds like a cool plan, and don't forget to post clips here :-)

Flo, I'll gets clips as they come may be a while. hell I still haven't put up a constant motion(dream theater) clip like I said I would.
 
Brian Wilson has the right idea, stay home, write and record and let them get a session bassist to go on tour. I HATE live playing, much prefer writing and recording. Getting into home recording meself, multitracker for my own stuff, interface (soundcard) to file share. Getting the rig together, looking forward to getting into it real soon. Enjoy your recording mate, you may never go back to the grind again.
 
Nothing beats playing the stuff you wrote for a live audience and experiencing that they're loving it.
