Hey.

I got a Warwick Infinity SN TCS and I've decided to switch the preamp to EMG BTC control as I already have one in my Corvette and it's great. Do you think I'll have problems with the switch since
1) EMG doesn't recommend its preamp used with other active pickups than its own. I have MEC active pickups
2) the bridge pickup can be switched to paraller / series with push/pull pot at tone controls and EMG comes with it's own stacked knob

Thanks in advance.

Hi
I think using the EMG BTC will be fine,I think EMG would not recommend using it with any pups apart from their own as they haven't tested them and they wouldn't want to get sued if someone fried their pups(which is probably unlikely :) ).
If you dont use the the series/parellel switch you could just wire the pups in the configeration you require or if you use the switch you could fit a mini switch inside the controle cavity, but this would obviously be a pain to use or you could replace the balance pot with a push/pull pot.
Think of the push/pull part of the pots as a totally separate unit to the pot itself(because it is)

BTC....I would say...don't do that, I tried BTC with EMG and MEC....you can always get better range with other preamp like SD, MEC or Bartolini and OBP-3......

Well I really like BTC in my Corvette. It's jus right.
