Replace Thumb bridge and nut

Hi all, I have just received my 1990 fretless thumb and am wondering about a couple of things. The action on this thing is really low, too low for my taste, but my options to adjust it seem fairly limited.

OK, the screws to adjust the bridge are stripped and the allen key just does circles on the A,E and B. The nut is old and cannot be adjusted like the one on my 2008 $$ Corvette. So, I'm wondering:

Will a new bridge fit? That is, are the bridges Warwick manufactures now the same size as the one on this bass?
If so, is replacing the bridge as simple as unscrewing the old one and screwing the new one in?
How hard is it to replace the nut with a new JAN III? It look like a brass nut and it looks like it's glued in there pretty good.

Keep in mind I've never done anything modifications like changing a bridge or nut before.
 
One thing to consider is that the bridge you currently have is brass...the new ones are not brass. Maybe you just want to replace the saddles and keep the rest of the original bridge.
 
maybe it's only necessary to change the bridge screws. Did that on many of my basses in the last 20 some years. Only changed the bridge of one bass, the Eko, which had a lousy bridge.
