I absolutely adore him. He is one of my biggest influences in my double bass playing, one of the finest musicians active today.

Fantastic technique, very tasteful playing and has the most complete command of the instrument of anyone I've yet seen.

Simply outstanding in every way.
 
Great bowing! And nice to see the Rabbath peg! I've really got to get a double bass...

The Romance languages (sometimes referred to as Romanic languages) are a branch of the Indo-European language family, comprising all the languages that descend from Latin, the language of the Roman Empire...Spanish, Portuguese, French, Italian, Romanian, Catalan and some others.

Thou we MUST NOT confuse language family with etnical group!It's two totally different things...culture, religion, language...

So French as a language shares several linguistic features such as the phonology, morphology, lexicon, and syntax that are the same to all others in the same language group that has descend from Vulgar Latin.

Thou that fact doesn't make French people in the same ( Latin group ) ethnic grooup with all others...

For example Polan...country that "has" West Slavic language, latin scripture ( not Cyrillic alphabet ) and the Germanic ethnicity...

Being of French descent myself, i was just expressing my "latinicity".... :P

The French are deffinitely close, in culture and mindset, to the "latin" people, and on an ethnic level, the Frank tribes of old did intermix quite a bit with the Romans...

Anyhow, I'm a half-french-canadian-half-flemish-belgian guy, and personally I feel rather latin, so there, that's my personnal identity.... :P

This bass player is a genuis on a 5 string.Excellent stuff.
