Yep, thats right...

I'm making a trip to Louisiana which is about 13 hour drive away and my first stop about an hour and a half from home I met a cousin at a bar and this guy out side was about to play some 90's acoustic covers... Jokingly I went up to him and asked if he needed a bassist. he said "sure, do you have some stuff" I go get my car drive it next to the deck grab my Warwick and Walkabout and started jamming.

I would say about 2/3 of it was complete improve and jamming but we had a good time and everyone else loved it.

Weird enough, not only did I not know the guy it was my first real public gig.

Good fun, random experiences... hope to have more along the way. :D

wow ampeg, that really does sound like fun :)

improv jams are great fun when private - but to do it randomly in front of a crowd......well all i can say is kudos to you!

i'm gunna have to start taking random trips to bars i don't know and see if i can do the same :lol:
 
What REALLY impresses me is that you don't go anywhere without having all your stuff with you in your car!

Have ROCK... will travel :D

That even beats my cousins story which involves visiting toilets, playing solo's on tables and kicking fat people. All in one gig.

I went there... so good... can't belive my brother never went birthday shopping there for me when he was at LSU...

Well see its been a few months and when I tried going last.... they were closed! :x


Oh well... I don't think I will be able to make it... this time


I arrived to the city where the Festival Acadiens (Cajun music festival)

So its time to party and maybe jam with some others :D
