I have a Thumb 5 NT the preamp sounds very Distorted and has for some time, it does not have a little gain know on the preamp. what i was wanting to know, is what is the correct replacement preamp. So i can order it.

it is a 2 band eq i believe
Volume (stacked) Pickup selector
Mid control
Treble (stacked) Bass Control
so i believe its a 2 way since they are stacked lol but just want to make sure :)
 
thumb i believe is Vol/Balance (stacked), Mid. Treble/Bass (stacked)

its 3-band eq.
 
Hi there,

Have you changed the batery? I mean, spending 200 bucks (or whatever it costs) in a new pre is awesome, but, a dead batery may be the problem here.

(I had to ask).

So does anyonw know the correct pre amp to buy i looked at the Warwick shop, and could not figure it out. also i have a other question. who distrubutes Warwick in the USA now Hanser Music had them and the moved again.
 
i know you say you have checked the battery.but i have a 5nt thumb myself and i find the preamp needs a fresh battery,duracell work better than all i have used before.mine is 18v so iam not sure if that makes a differance but even a slight drop in voltage plays with the preamp..not every battery is made equal :) its worth checking out before you spend money you dont need to ...

And yes i double checked my battery it still does the same way but its all good.

my old band also got back together Exempt is it just instermental prog/metal/rock ill get my profile updated
 
Also if anyone knows who is Dealing Warwick In the U.S. that would be killer, bacause they used to be with Hanser Music but swtiched and i cant figure out who atm just needing to order a few things. :)
