Question concerning thumb 5 NT

Do the pickups on a Thumb 5 nt are 2 bridges , 2 necks or 1 neck and one bridge like a regular bass (SSII for example) ??

2 Jazz style Bridge Pickups. I have both a BO and NT 5 string Thumb to testify to that. But the front pickup can sound very much like a "neck/middle" pickup if fully panned, cutting the treble a tad, boosting the bass a little, and maxing out the mids to sound like Steve Harris. Don't just take my word for it, Kascollet (sp?) did a vid of an Iron Maiden cover and its does sound very similar.

I got my fifth warwick (2004 Thumb 5 NT custom with leds and wenge neck ebony fretboard) from ebay two week ago and it came with emg pickups and aguillar obp-3 preamp. The tone of the bass is lacking in something ... It just dont sond natural to me like all my other warwicks (I also have a thumb bo 6, a SSII, a P-NUT II). I'm not 100% sure what is the source of my problem (maybe the emgs or the aguillar) but my bet would be the emg pickups.
What are your toughts on this ???
And yes florin I was asking about pickups size (bridge or neck size)

Hi Fred,

Try to post some clips here on the forum, so we can listen to your bass sound. Other than that, the best thing would be to go to a tech, as we cannot say what an instrument has without having it in our hands....
