Question about the resale value of a 4 string Corvette

Hi there,

I am looking to sell a 4 string Corvette Standard in bubinga with a manufacture date of May 2003. It's hardly been used at all and is in excellent condition, I also have the Warwick padded gig bag that it came with.

I was wondering if anyone could give me a rough price that I should ask for? (in £'s preferably). I have no idea what they go for used and can't remember what I paid for it new. I think it was around the £700 mark but I could be wrong.

Sorry if this is the wrong area of the forum to ask this question.

Cheers for the reply, that sounds about right. I was just confused because on other forums I'd seen them go for around $600 usd and then I saw this at the bass gallery in London.
I must be missing something special about that bass for them to be asking £1099?
 
I notice they also have a used Fender Aerodyne Jazz for £15 less than you can buy a new one for. Make of that what you will.

If you have a look at the Basschat marketplace you should find a few on there for comparison. I've bought four Corvettes that way, so far!
 
Thanks. Perhaps I'll contact the bass gallery and see if they are interested in buying mine from me. If they are selling them for that much then I wonder what they'd offer to buy them for.
 
MAYBE that's an old, old ~1993 Corvette ProLine?

I saw one in a pawn shop at a STUPID price and they would not budge.

That corvette was mine. I traded it in to get a Streamer Stage 1. It's in absolute mint condition. It still has the original Serial number label on it. Not a scratch, ding etc and I believe it has the original Warwick strings.

I just didn't feel it fitted my body so I traded it. I bought it on ebay in Jan 2013 as "unused", for £390. I wouldn't pay their asking price either.

Do you mind me asking how much they paid you? PM me if you prefer. I'm just wondering if it's worth taking mine there. It doesn't have the labels but it's hardly been played, no scratches, never left the house etc.
