Question About Necks

Hi,
First off I am new here. I have owned a Rockbass Corvette in the past and liked it. But I'm wanting to upgrade to another Warwick. My question is though about the necks on 4 Strings. I am looking into the Stremers. But there is no store around where I live that carries these. What I want is a thinner neck. I guess more comparble to a Jazz neck rather than a Precision Neck. ot sure if this is comparable being a different brand and all.

look for vintage streamers till mid 90's or from 2009 up, they'll have slim necks.
 
The only real difference between a Jazz and Precision neck of a given era is the nut width - a Jazz has a 1.5" nut and a Precision has a 1.625" nut. If a given Precision bass has a 'baseball bat' neck, then a Jazz of that year will also have a baseball bat neck, just with a narrower nut - all Warwick 4-bangers have 1.5" nuts.

To be honest, I think anybody who complains about neck thickness should play an upright for a week or two - and if every bass player did, Ibanez would be out of business!! :P

+1 for that. The thicker neck IS why I love my Warwick so much. I have never tried one of the thinner necked ones to compare yet, but I will try to be unbiased until then. But yeah like stated before '09 and up is your best bet (and easy if you're looking to buy new obv).
 
Bummer you cant try one near you, i also really like the 2000's thick necks on wicks, its probably the one thinh i dont like about the RBs. if you have the chance try out the fatnecks, you might be surprised :)

Yeah, to me it's the string spacing that gives most people the illusion of being "fast". I like having the thickness for my big hands to hold on to ;)
