Hi!

I want to replace the tubes of my quadruplet preamp, but I can't find which is the specification of the tubes. Anyone can help me? Where I can find it?

Thank you!!

I'm not sure of which brand,but I'm pretty sure they're EL84's.

I don't know the amp, but a brand of tubes is not that important. There are a few tube manufacturers left and all good. Of course you need matched couples, but just ask for the right ones in your local shop?

Hi everyone and thanks for the answers!

The preamp have 3 12AX7 tube and a EL84, so I don't know how can pair them jejeje. Maybe I need a single and a pair...
I am looking for JJ tubes...

Tube matching matters most for poweramp tubes. Since this 'preamp' has the El84 normally used in power amps as a pre-amp tube it is very unconventional. I'd say get the 12AX7's from the same brand (as said, JJ rocks) but they do not have to be matched as they are used for different roles in the preamp anyway. Then find a nice EL84 to complement it. Try finding a shop which has a few different bands in stock and will let you try them out.

+1 one what Matthijs says. I thought the EL84s would be in the power amp section.

I love the JJs in my Hiwatt, but I also have good experiences with GrooveTubes.

I'm pretty sure that they have 3 x ECC83 and one EL90
just replaced mine as originally fitted, mine sounds great
