Both Prolines

Bass A
About 5 years old. ocean blue, missing a knob, otherwise good condition

Bass B
93 model. Natural. $175 (correction, Bass A came down in price so its about $215) more than bass A. Original PUs were taken out and is now active only with Duncans.

Which one is the better deal?
 
to me it would depend on how the bass looked i would go for the one with the nicer grain pattern in the wood.ocen blue is a great color for prolines.buy them both then you can't go wrong.
 
175 Dollars for a proline? 215 Dollars for a proline? Are you serious?
 
No Florin, i think he says that there's a diference in a range of 175$ and 215$ in the price between "A" and "B" bass:d
 
First of all, I'm no expert...but I'd go for bass A cause of these 2 reasonz:
- da newer da better...(I bet ya can find a new knob for just a few dollars/euro's/whatevah)
- bass A is da more original Wick...8:
 
399 is good price you can't go wrong with a proline i like the way the bass sounds better then the ash or bubinga bodied vets
 
Not to hijack the thread, but if anyone has experience with both, how similar is the Corvette ProLine to the Streamer LX tonally?
 
Not similar at all... I guess the pickup positioning is the key :-)
 
well go for the 93 if you want wenge, but personally I'd go with the A (I don't like duncans on bass, I prefer ovangkol necks, less prone to problems).
 
i would go with the wenge neck i like them better and the older bass might have a jan1 nut which to me is a plus also older bass's can have less neck problems then a new bass if the neck didn't develop a problem and the bass is older it's not likly the wood will start moving around.and i read a story that the more a bass is played the better it sounds they took new bass's and put them on a shaker table and tryed to simulate years worth of playing they claimed it made the bass sound better and removed the dead spots
