Proline price?

Pricing this one is not my area of expertise but one thing I will say is that 'a crack is a crack' and that makes it structural! Cracks that occur in the paint of a neck pocket are one thing but on a natural (stained) finish bass... well it may not be the end of the world but if you look at that picture it's going to need looking at!
 
Yea I know it would have to be fixed, but I have no idea how much that would cost...
 
could you please post pics for those of us that can't have access to pics due to being at work and ebay is restricted website here? to asess the damages?

Nope, wasn't me. I don't really need another bass but I'm always looking and I'm sure I'll get another soon...
 
finally saw the pics. those are scary loooking and risky. I would not go for it still.

It's gone too. Hope the buyer is satisfied.

I see a lot of basses with a crack at the neck pocket.I had a cheap squire bass that had a crack in the same place,the bass held up for years and the guy I sold it to still has it and the crack hasn't progressed any further.I would buy another bass with the same defect and not worry about it.The price for the bass was pretty good. :)

Great, leaves more for me. The coloured oil finishes seal the wood with a satin finish. That slight check will most likely mean absolutely nothing regarding the stability of the neck. Any time the wood is sealed the seal can crack with contraction of the wood. That buyer got a steal there.
 
Looks like this one has been through a lot. I wouldn't buy a cracked bass. Cracks get bigger depending on your weather, there's more stuff out there, so why take the risk?

Thats what i was thinking, looks like someone put guitar tone knobs on it..
 
That's the problem with oil and wax finished basses If you don't take care of them they can get cracks easy.But I think a body crack isn't as big a deal as a neck crack.And Warwick has advice on how to deal with cracks.I think as long as the price reflects the fact that there is a crack you can get a good deal on a player instrument.At least you won't have a ulcer when the bass gets another ding :)

Yeah, and the switch looks odd too. The seller should have listed the changes made, unless they bought it like that from a previous owner who modded it.
