Hello, i´m a newbie and i´ve got problems with my profetIV amp.
for the three years, that i own it, it workes very well. But last Sunday it moved in the mute mode, while i was playing with the band.
I didn´t play louder than usual. then i switched off the amp, switched it on again and the amp worked until mid level.
When i played as loud as usual the amp turns to mute mode again.
This is a protection switch, I guess but which electronical is damaged in my amp.
What can I do?
Many thanks for answers.
Willy

I think you'll need to get a tech. to service your amp.Any advise given here would be a guess.
Good luck.

I have one question. I was on a trip to Norway this summer and in a little shop in Bergen I saw the Pro Fet IV. I´m looking for a good amp and I thought I MUST HAVE THIS AMP !! ( I´m a big fan of the 8band EQ ) but now I have to find out that this amp´s sold out wherever I look for it. Even on the W. homepage there´s nothing about the Pro Fet IV. Isn´t it produced anymore ?
:(

The current Profet models are the 3.2 & the 5.1 the others are discontinued.

Just to put in: in our old rehearsal-space, I played on an old Warwick amp called "W amp". I`ve never seen anything like it before or after, but it looked a bit similar to this:

happy again

hi,
everything´s fine.
My amp was allways in best condition.
It was one of the speakers, that was faulty.
But i couldn´t hear that because it was a loose contact at first.
Yesterday the spaeker began to scratch, so i took it out of the box and bridged the connection cables.
After that the amp worked solid again.
bye
