Problem with my 'Vette $$

problably it's just something I might missed but the problem is:I can't lower the action on my vette .I changed the strings, then |I was doing some ajustments on the nut also on the bridge to lower the action but it won't got much lower than how it was. for me the action now it's a little bit higher and I really wanna to lower it a little more, can anybody help me? Can it be some problem with the neck ??
I stopped the adjustments to avoid doing some damage to the bass... :?
 
Probably your new set of strings has a greater tension, and the neck is more concave than it used to be.
Strenghten your trussrod, let the neck settle and then remake nut/bridge adjustments.
 
Try this: on either side of the bridge (bass side and treble side), there are 2 allen screws (one in each corner) that raise and lower the entire bridge, and a third allen screw positioned in between the two that locks the setting in place. Loosen the locking screws on both sides of the bridge, then loosen the corner allen screws on both sides to lower the entire action of the bridge. I had that problem with my FNA Jazzman when I got it, and it cleared it up easily :D
 
I have lowered the action on my vette$$5-2006 till its minimum by straightening out the neck. I made 1.5 trusrod turn (in 1/4 turn increments) clockwise. I made the adjustment over 2 days and let the neck settle after each turn. I tuned it up after each turn as well.

I have a slight buzz on the A and D string at 12-14th fret and I tweaked it back a 1/4 turn yesterday. The neck is now perfect!
 
Always get my left and right mixed here... :oops: Are we talking clockwise as you look down the neck from nut to bridge?
 
Thanks for the help mates but today when I picked up the bass the action was lower like I wanna even before I adjust the bridge or the truss rod :shock: dunno what's happen but surely I didn't made anything to the bass :shock:
Can it be haunted???..... :twisted: ehehe
 
It probably just needed some time to settle, hehe.

And if it were haunted, I'd try to coax it into doing awesome no-handed bass solos :D

On my Vette $$5 - 2006:

Clockwise = strengthen the rod, flattening the neck, less bow, lower action.

Counterclockwise = relaxing the rod, more bow, higher action.

I'm looking from the headstock towards the bridge.

This is true for my trussrod but Warwick has used 3 different trussrods throughout the era. Don't know if this applies to all of them. Use a tuner to be sure. Read Seths "Your nut and your rod" under "Tips 'n Tricks"

Most important ... if you feel too much resistance during the adjustment, don't continue. Let a qualified tech do it.
