Probably... the cheapest Streamer Stage II ever!

WOW!

2 days ago it was only 300 pounds, and the guys told me: "it will go UP UP UP". Well it didn´t went that up, jus 750€, that´s a steal for a SS2... 0_o

There wasn't a flurry of bidding at the end and if someone hadn't placed that single bid of £627 then the winning bidder would actually have got it for £505!
 
627 is still freaking cheap! i was happy to pay well in excess for my lolphin. who sells a SSII that cheaply? more frighteningly why does it sell so cheap?
 
Makes me wonder... with his 1 feedback rating, what are the chances he's actually going to ship the bass out for that much?

I bet that would've sold for a normal price if the listing looked remotely professional - but a few more positive seller feedbacks wouldn't hurt either. Then again, I bought my $$ off a guy that hadn't had feedback yet.

Then again the guy doesn't offer the option of a courier, it's collection only (not unusual on a small island like the UK) so if it were me I'd be knocking on his door the next morning. LOL

I was watching that one too, and i would of been pissed off if the seller tried that after the auction.
 
I guess in the real world, he will have issues on Ebay only - the negative feddback, since the buyer didn't paid the bass...

You are correct it is a legally binding contract and the fact that if you sell on ebay you have agreed to the T&C of that contract. In reality it would need a civil court case to enforce as sale such as this one BUT you would be entitled to turn up at his door and ask for the bass (assuming you have the payment). The seller could threaten to or even call the Police but they can not interject and do anything as it is a civil matter... I speak from experience! ;)

I won a no reserve item on ebay from a guy who lived about 5 miles away; the item sold ridiculously cheap and unsurprisingly the seller point blank refused to answer any of my emails or ebay messages, I even paid via paypal and that was refunded. I went through the ebay process to get his home number and called him, he was a bit surprised to say the least and basically said that he wasn't selling that cheap so I could go take a jump... 30 minutes later I turned up on his doorstep!

He ranted a bit and told me to 'go forth and multiply' but I resolutely stood my ground and explained that he had entered into a contract and that was a contract that I intended completing. He went inside and closed the door and just as I was on the verge of giving up knocking on his door (approx 15 minutes), the Police turned up. :lol: The seller came out and started shouting and gloating at me, right up until I'd quietly reasoned with the two officers and presented my paperwork from ebay (yes sad I know but I had printed it off just incase the guy denied any knowledge), at which point the officers told the seller to sort this out as it was not a criminal matter (civil) and that I was within my rights to be there paying for the item that I had purchased. The police duly left and the guy slammed the door!

The end of the story is a bit of an anti-climax as he still didn't open his door or sell me the bass but he was removed from ebay (seems my purchase wasn't the only one he pulled out of). I could have started a civil court case but it really wasn't worth the hassle. I did however get my own back on him but that is another matter. ;)
 
Some dodgy selles go to great lengths. I had a house mate who traded/fixed/sold old motor bikes and was stitched up in a deal where the same bike was sold to seven people. The only details they provided ebay was for a public toilet in a small town in Queensland and a de-activated phone. In the end one of the buyers was a museum in eastern europe who had to hire a private detective to track him down. My mate did get his cash back, but it took MONTHS and the museum had gambled thousands on the court costs to nail the guy,

Let's just say it was the best £10 I've ever spent on a delivery of several tons of horse manure... driver was informed that it needed dropping next to the rear gate of the house as 'I' wouldn't be in! :)

Shame I couldn't have been there to see the look on his face. :lol:

Oh and this was done at a much later date so that he wouldn't immediately put my name to it but sometimes revenge is a dish best served cold. ;)
